What kind of parish do we
hope St. Clare’s will be? n It is our dream that it will become a community which truly reflects the Gospel values, where each member will find a home, and where children will have a special place. n It is our dream that it will be a parish which promotes the joy of our faith, serving Christ and the Church without compromise. n We hope that it will be a community where life is celebrated and regarded as sacred. n It is our prayer that it will be a parish where everyone feels called to develop a more personal and intense relationship with Jesus through prayer, education and the sacraments. n It is our dream that everyone will feel called to participate actively in sharing their gifts of time, talent and treasure to build up the Kingdom of God among us and where each parish family understands that what they have is gift from our loving Father, and in gratitude to the Giver, returns a portion for His Kingdom. Does that seem too much? Too grand? Too unrealistic? If there is one thing Jesus taught His disciples, it was to think big. I invite all of our parishioners to join the dream. When we began building this
web site, we asked ourselves what our objective was. What did we want
people to get from it? After some discussion we all agreed that we wanted
you to get to know us. We wanted to share our parish family with you, but
most of all we wanted you to get to know our patroness, St. Clare of
Assisi, a little more. We would like to promote a greater awareness of
her and devotion to her. That is why, as you browse through this site,
you will find biographies, prayers, novenas, and photographs of her
hometown, Assisi. We have also tried to link you up with other sites
which will provide you with further information about her. Since our
inauguration in September of 1999, we have found St. Clare to be a
wonderful patroness and a true friend. We hope you will find the same.
