Parish Committees
St. Clare of Assisi Parish is blessed with many people who unselfishly
give of their time and talents to promote the work of the parish in
accordance with our Mission Statement. We salute the following:
Our Flower Ladies who ensure our liturgies are always adorned with
beautiful flowers, even in the darkest part of winter;
Our Collection Counters, who ensure our weekly offerings are correctly
counted and deposited. As our parish grows in number, so, to, does this
group's commitment of time to get the job done;
Our Liturgical Committee, who ensures that all of our liturgical
celebrations are not only inspiring to us, but also pleasing to God. It
is an awesome responsibility, and their hard work is appreciated;
Our Altar Servers, who lead the parish in prayer. Their commitment to
assist at Mass inspires us, their dedication to their duties is
appreciated, and their presence is truly joyful. They are the future of
our Church;
Our Finance Committee, who ensures our parish does not give out more
than it takes in, that we meet all of our financial obligations, that
all our financial offerings are used in the best interest of the parish,
and that they keep Father Scott's shopping under control;
Our Children's Liturgy Team (Teachers and Assistants), who help bring
the message of the Gospel to the little ones of our parish. Their
efforts help our youngest members to understand what being in God's
family really means;
Our Building Committee, who sorts out plans and ideas, architects and
contracts, by-laws and red tape to make our dream a reality. Their hard
work is appreciated;
Our
SUNDAY 10AM MUSIC MINISTRY. Thank you
for sharing your time and talents in leading us to joyful celebration of our
10AM liturgy. Your music inspires us, wakes us up and puts smiles on our
faces. You lead us to truly praise God with joyful music. May God bless you.
Our PREP Coordinators and teachers, who educate our youngest
parishioners in the Catholic faith. May our children follow their
example in the future and lead others to follow Jesus;
Our Lectors, who present the Word of God to us at each liturgy.
Our Project Advance volunteers, who help our parish family complete the
paperwork for this very important program. Their cheerfulness during
this very busy time helps make our parish's major fundraiser something
we can all be proud of;
Our Eucharistic Ministers who assist Father Scott in feeding the People
of God with the Bread of Life;
Our Sunday 5PM Music Ministry, leading us in prayerful worship. It is
said that when we sing once, we pray twice;
Our Fundraising Committee, who increases our Building Fund by keeping
the "Fun" in "Fundraising". Their wonderful ideas and hard work are so
appreciated - our parish fully supports their many efforts;
Our Sacristans, who ensure the sanctuary is completely prepared for our
liturgical celebrations. Their early arrival and attention to detail is
very much appreciated;
Our CWL, who continues to pray for our parish, keeps us reminded of the
many
issues our Catholic women are involved in, and assists the poor and
needy of our community;
Our
PARISH PHOTOGRAPHERS. Thank you for sharing your time and talents
to record those precious moments in the life of our parish, moments that we will
look back on and reflect on many years down the road. Thank you to all who
contribute photos to our parish archives. May God bless you.
Our Saturday 5PM Music Ministry, who helps us raise our voices in song
and praise;
All those who assist by handing out our weekly bulletin - they assist us
to keep up with the latest news and activities in our parish. Their
cheerful smiles are always included, and appreciated.
Our ushers, who ensure the gates to the parking lot are open, who help
us find a place to sit, who organize the Offertory procession, and who
make as many people as possible comfortable in our crowded
circumstances;
All those who sell tickets or baked goods, hand out envelopes, sign-up
sheets, receipts, etc. No matter which committee or group is
represented, their assistance is greatly appreciated;
All who accept the invitation to help take up the weekly collection,
sometimes on very short notice;
Our Social Committee, for giving us the
opportunities to grow as a family and as a community as we grow as a parish;
Our R.C.I.A. facilitators, who so willingly
share their faith with those who seek to become part of the Catholic Church;
All those who stay after Mass to help with the cleanup;
All those who accept the invitation to participate in the Offertory
Procession. They carry our gifts, our prayers and our thanksgiving to
the altar;
The ladies of All Saints' Parish (Coquitlam) who assist us by visiting
our senior parishioners at Dufferin Centre on a weekly basis;
To these and the many others who serve God by serving their brothers and
